Superb adaptation of the international bestseller... about an Afghan writer, now living in the US, who,, as a boy, failed to help and then, actually betrayed his best friend.
It is a heart-rending story of re-demption, atonement, coming to grips with one’s weaknesses and making amends for wrongs done. Beautifully filmed and acted. Fascinating portrait of pre- and post-Taliban Afghan-istan. Has fine human values.
Strong affirmation of friendship and family and a redemptive ending that should move even the most stone-hearted.

- The father says,
"A boy who won’t stand up for himself becomes a man who won’t stand up
for anything." Do you agree? How do we determine what to stand up
for?
- Is Baba
