Campaign Prayer
Loving God,
At this time in the life of our Parish
community of St. Thomas the Apostle,
we turn to you with grateful hearts for
what we have and with great anticipation
for what is yet to be.
Bless us with a sense of unity,
a spirit of cooperation
and a generous heart
as we face the responsibilities and
challenges of this Parish undertaking.
We know there is much to do.
We believe our goals are rooted
in your Word and in your Work.
Please guide us, strengthen us,
and bless us with Your Presence,
now and through the years to come.
In Jesus’ Name we pray,
AMEN
Capital Campaign:
Moving Forward In Hope
Dear Parishioners & Friends,
It is with great enthusiasm that we present these preliminary building plans for our new sanctuary, ministry and education rooms and administrative offices which will meet the current and future needs of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. A parish that does not look ahead to the needs of the community is one that is always playing catch up with time and with the on-going demands to continue building the faith community of Jesus Christ.
We are fortunate that our parish family is a vibrant community with a thriving pre-school, a large religious education program, numerous ministries, and many groups asking to use our limited facilities. Our present parish facilities do not adequately provide for our needs. Our masses are over crowded and if you have ever tried to schedule a meeting, a reception or a gathering, you know exactly why we are looking to build.
However, this is your parish and it is only with your support that we will be able to build for our future. Therefore, I am coming to you with what I believe to be the needs of this community.
Our theme in this capital campaign is Moving Forward In Hope.
It captures the dynamic movement of the people of God making their pilgrim way in faith – and with characteristic hope. In Psalm 127 we read, “Unless the Lord builds the house in vain do the builders labor.” It is the Lord who dwells among us in the living temple of our faith community. We seek to build a place that will be inviting to all. We are blessed to have the prayerful intercession of Mary of La Salette and Our Lady of Guadalupe to bless our hopes and success in building the Kingdom of God here and now.
Sincerely in Christ,
Rev. James H. Kuczynski, M.S.
Pastor
Your Decision To Give
